Trench Coats

Not only was today’s weather gorgeous, but it also was the perfect excuse to wear my trench coat from the Banana Republic X Olivia Palermo collection. Trench coats are one of the top trends this season for men and women, and I could not be more excited.

A good trench coat is a necessity in both men and women’s wardrobes because they are so versatile and functional. They can easily be worn professional to a day at the office, or they can be worn casually with denim, either way, they go with everything. One of my favorite things about trench coats other than being so versatile is that they come in so many different color selections. A red trench coat can still be a timeless piece in the closet just like tan or black trench. Not to mention, colored trench coats are such a fun and great way to add a pop of color to your look.

One of the things that I loved most about this particular coat is that it has so many small details that give it a great feminine touch, and also the added uniqueness. This is an excellent example of taking a trend and finding a piece that fits the trend category but still has your personal style to it. I kept my look simple by layering my trench coat over a white v-neck tee and pairing them with a fantastic pair of vintage Levis, oh, and my white heel.
