San Francisco Recap

San Francisco is yet another city that will always be near and dear to my heart. There are many reasons for that but I would have to say the primary is all of the inspiration it brings to my business and my sister-in-law, stylist to the Bay Area, Jackie Conlin, lives there.

During this trip, I was lucky enough to do a little work and a little play – what more can a gal ask for, right?!

My sis and I style both men and women. On this trip we were pulling looks from Frame, Joie, Velvet, Reformation, Lululemon, Wilkes Bashford and a couple of amazing boutiques that you must visit if you are in the city.

One boutique is called Heidi Says and carries some amazing lines (Rag & Bone, Vince, Tibi, SMYTHE (a personal favorite) and so much more. The other boutique I am a tad in love with is called Jigsaw London where they design pieces that are timeless with a touch of classic British heritage (they had me at classic and British heritage). If you appreciate quality fabrics and great designs you must visit both boutiques!

Now for the play time: if you are a baseball fan, be sure to catch a Giants game or at least get a tour of the ballpark. You get to see everything including a walk on the field and through the dugouts – it’s pretty dang cool.

If you are craving a little wine time or a beautiful drive, be sure to drive up to Sonoma County where my hubby, sis and I spent a beautiful day tooling around. The drive alone is worth every second from the moment you cross the breathtaking Golden Gate Bridge to the second you pull into wine country.

If you are in need of a great place to grab a drink in the city, definitely check out the Maven. The ambience is so fun, endless drink options and in a charming area with the classic San Francisco streets (just be sure and bring a back-up pair of shoes if you are a heel girl like me – some of the streets are STEEP to say the least). Flats are a must.

If you are after a night out with a very yummy dinner and a show you must make reservations at North Beach Restaurant where they serve old-school Tuscan style food – the food and service is amazing; these guys have been at it for years and it shows in all that they do.

For a show, Club Fugazi, is charming and FUN! We ended up seeing Steve Silver’s “Beach Blanket Babylon” and it is the world’s longest running musical. It is campy and the costumes are over-the-top fun and hilarious!

We ended our trip with a cozy dinner (perfect ending) at Noeteca, an amazing French inspired restaurant. It is quaint and a perfect place to order a yummy cheese plate with a glass of wine. Or, one of chef’s specials – truly creative and tasty!

Stay tuned for more upcoming trips to San Fran and until next time, sending out so much love!
