Top 5 Lace-Up Booties
Given that it’s January and the reality for most of us (especially we Mid-Westerners) there is still a ways to go with cold weather, I felt it necessary to share with you my top 5 lace-up booties. These are all great options to wear for warmth, comfort and style – which is sometimes a hard combo to come by. Bundling up can definitely take away from feeling “cute” or put-together in what we have on so why not at least love our shoes, right?!
Let’s start off with the Marc Fisher bootie that I could not recommend more! It’s stylish, comfortable and has just the right amount of edge to it. This bootie looks great styled with leggings (black Spanx leggings have been a top choice for me), skinny ankle denim and fun to wear in the fall styled with a cropped frayed denim or long casual skirt.
In my opinion, you cannot go wrong with these booties. I own them and love how I can just slip them on and go! They have great traction and the wedge is a PLUS – especially for those of us who appreciate a little height in our shoes (this is a great way to still have height but safety in the winter weather). You will want to spray them prior to wearing them in the elements. I use the KIWI Protect-All spray https://www.target.com/p/kiwi-protect-all-waterproofer-spray-4-25oz/-/A-13290940 and it works great!
If you appreciate a little more of a detailed shoe, these booties are a great option for just that. It is a higher heel (3.5″) but if you are still wanting/needing a little height even in the colder weather, a rubber sole goes a long ways! The side-zip feature on these booties is great because you don’t need to worry about lacing/unlacing – bonus, right 🙂
I’ve shared these before with you on the blog and Instagram and I’m sharing them again because they have remained a bootie I wear A LOT once fall begins and throughout winter. I cannot say enough about the quality, comfort and style of Sorel shoes! They are such an easy option to throw on in the wardrobe and do not require any maintenance – and who doesn’t love a waterproof shoe option?!
And for the grand finale, a great combat style bootie option for those of you who appreciate this style! Comfort, style and edge are repeating themselves here along with winter walking safety. I’ve styled this bootie with leggings, skinny denim and longer skirts. You can even style it in a juxdaposed way with a more elevated skirt, graphic tee and blazer. The styling possibilities are endless and FUN!
As always, please just reach out to me with any questions you have or if there is anything else you have been wanting to see on the blog!
Wishing you warmth this weekend and an amazing new week ahead,
